Default XKR Auto Window Issue

My 2002 XKR has developed an issue with the drivers side window. When you close the door with window up, it resets slightly below because of convertible top I'm guessing. Lately, it has been lowering itself about three inches on it's on after leaving the car sitting. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Thank you.

Have you tried resetting the window?

Roll it all the way down and continue holding the switch until you hear a click. Then roll it back up, again hold the switch until you hear the click. This resets the window travel parameters.

Now try opening and closing the door with the window up. Hopefully it will drop upon opening and go back up properly when you close the door.

^^^^ This!
Also, the window seems to be the proverbial canary in the coal mine. When the battery voltage gets really low the window starts to do this.

Are you keeping the battery on a tender when the car is not on the road ?

That does wonders to keep the electrical gremlins at bay. These cars aren’t youngsters anymore. They require some extra attention
