I have a lovely 2001 XK8, but really like the look of the XKR bonnet with the vents.
Does anyone know if there are any vent lookalikes available that don't involve cutting my bonnet about?
I don't want to hack my car up, or replace the bonnet.
I'm not trying to make a 'fake' XKR - I just like the look of the bonnet.
Surely such a simple add-on would be very popular?

Hi Roy ,
By far the easiest way of doing it is by swapping the bonnet , but they are expensive second-hand and rarely found in good condition , the frame has it's strengthening in a different position to XK8's , the other alternative is to buy the vents and fix them to your bonnet , however they won't mount entirely flush as per the "R's" vents ,

Mark went through all the options and ended up cutting the bonnet and fitting a vent kit.
