Default XKR Hood Grills

Hi, just had a XKR hood put on my XK8 and the grills have some chipped paint spots. Has anyone used the new DIP GRAPHICS on these or other components? My car is anthracite black and thought about either painting them a very dark purple, like the purple stripe on the new black Camaro's or maybe having them 'DIPPED' in a carbon fibre, which might look pretty cool against the black.

Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks,

frank

Personally I would go with the carbon fiber option.

Some of the guys with the newer XKs have gotten their engine covers done. Came out very nice.

Hydrographics are definitely an option beyond paint Frank, just remember you will still need a clean smooth base before dipping. Carbon fiber usually requires a black base. Once dipped, the completed part is usually sprayed with a couple of clear coats for protection and durability. The results can be outstanding! Good luck on your decision.

All the best
