Default XKR rims for early XK8

I am looking to buy an early XK8. When I do get one the first thing I'd want to do is replace the rims with these ones:

If I understand this post, https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...54&postcount=2 any rims from a 97-06 XKR would fit on a 97-06 XK8 as well? Is that correct?
And where would be the best place to get them? I checked eBay and only found some chrome ones - I don't want chrome. Any suggestions? Thanks

The only issue is fitting over larger brakes and with an early XK8 this is no problem.

Yup, you're good. Go look at the rims shown in the XK8 Brochure found in the XK8/R FAQ thread we put together. There's even a link to wheels down farther also in that thread, it'll give you sizes and from what years they were typically found, so you can search online parts sources - ebay, and yards.

I've got the BBS Detroits on my '03 XK8. They're wearing stock sized XKR tires with no rubbing or fitment issues. I got lucky and found mine on Craigslist. They look great but beware, tires aren't cheap.

Yep I've got stock Milan BBS 18s on my early XK8 - no problems so far, although as always with XK8 get the front bushes and suspension checked while on the OLD wheels before buying. You wouldn't want to chew up rubber on your new set due to failed suspension!

Oh and also XKR split rims are incredibly expensive to refurbish - the split rim option plus chrome edging rings seem are a wheel merchant's pet hate.

From a UK site, see how much more Jaguar XKR rims cost than anything else:

What is your average retail price for mobile wheel refurbishment?

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment:
• 1 to 2 wheels: £70.00 per wheel + VAT
• 3 to 4 wheels: £65.00 per wheel + VAT

Special Colours / Chrome paint
• 1 to 2 wheels: £80.00 per wheel + VAT
• 3 to 4 wheels: £75.00 per wheel + VAT

Jaguar XKR Split Rims
• 1 to 2 wheel: £225.00 per wheel+ VAT
• 4 wheels: £800.00 per set + VAT

Split Rims
• £125.00 per wheel + VAT

This is not an isolated incidence - beware of ANY scratches, marks or dings that you want to clean up.
