So after Consulting with Billy Clyde (who provided very useful and helpful insights) I have finally completed the installation of clear lens to replace the dated amber lens. In doing this I also decided to check into replacing the OEM bulbs with LEDs. I testes the following with the clear lens: OEM Bulb, Clear/White LED, Yellow LED, Chromium Amber Bulb, and Amber LED. The Clear/White LED even, when switched off, still exhibited a faint electrical glow, The Chromium Amber Bulb gave off the "egg yolk" look, the Yellow LED was, well, just too yellow, the Amber LED seemed to fit the bill so this is what I decided to use. Also, I did not get any CAN errors so this was a straight up replacement. I've included images of the options plus an image of the four options (less the clear/White LED as it showed slight glow that none of the other LEDs exhibited). Now that turned-out real good after all...I like the way it looks...Even though you had to do the Glue Job twice....I like the Amber LED best also and as you said "It has an after-glow! I put T-10 LEDs in my Parking Lights an they do the same thing....The glow continues for several minutes until the Electrical system shuts down. Doesn't hurt anything,,,but it catches you Eye! Good job!
