Default Umbrella holder

I received the black and red jaguar umbrella for xmas. It matches my two tone interior nicely. I checked f type accessories and did an umbrella forum search, but can't find anything on a holder for it. My XF had one for the trunk. Anyone know if one exists for the coupe?

If by "umbrella holder" you mean the two elastic straps at the forward end of the luggage compartment, mine came with it. I bought an umbrella that just fit the length of the recess.

That one looks like it's specific to the vert. I haven't seen an example of one mounted to the coupe.

You should have 2 woosie looking elastic loops up at the front of the trunk,to try to get your umbrella to fit into....I bought a shortish, colour coordinated brolly to help get a fit.
The OfficialJag part for a modest $122 seems to have leather and Velcro ..and likely a more elegant set up.

Do you have a vert or coupe?

As unhinged indicates the jag official accessory looks like it's for the vert or car with a traditional trunk/boot. I'll look to see if the coupe trunk has anything. The umbrella I have is traditional size.

Coupe. Updated my signature to so indicate.

That was my solution too. It's a nice umbrella, although black is not exactly matching.

I need to make some measurements for Lance and I might remember to snap a picture of it in place. No guarantees though. It's not that exciting.

Ok, I went out and inspected the trunk and found the two loops (thanks to forum member "Awd"). Also discovered one to the right inside at the back of trunk. The umbrella I received is too big to fit in that recess where the loops are, but it does fit on the shelf just below the loops. I could either extend some Velcro from the loops or try to rig the jag accessories holder to this area. I like the idea of the jag embossed leather straps, but at $122 plus not sure it's worth the chance I can make it work. Shorter umbrella as Awd did is likely the best route. A small project to ponder. It's not raining stored in the garage so not a rush.

I took a picture but my computer seems to have stopped talking to my phone. The iPhones are really nice, but if you use a PC you're a second-rate citizen (at best) in the eyes of Apple.

I wonder if anyone here has the jag umbrella holder and knows how it attaches to the car.

Here's one that comes 55 cm in the short version. Could be used to fend off aggressive BMW drivers. That about 21 inches. May be cooler for the money spent on a holder.

I just got the holder and plan on installing it tomorrow! I need to pull out the trunk liner and it rivets in to it.

If you could snap a few photos it would be much appeciated, particularly of various parts and attachments.

Do the instructions clarify whether it is applicable to the coupe as well?

Default 2 elastic hoops

The 2 elastic hoops in the boot of the coupe just behind the seats on the shelf are for a warning triangle, not for an umbrella

Maybe, but that is where I store my umbrella, as recommended by my selling dealer.

the selling dealer was obviously making it up, theres a recess that the triangle in its box fits into and is secured by the little hoops
