New to Jaguar - F-Type R AWD
Hi all,
I am from the Netherlands and this is my first Jaguar.
I am a real car Enthusiast and normally a real Audi/Porsche fan but always loved the looks of the F-Type (especially Coupe) since it was released.
I have 3 kids and my wife drives a Mercedes GL, that car is being used in the weekends mostly.
I have a company car that is free of charge (if you dont drive it more than 500KM for personal usage on a yearly base).
So that leaves room for a car that is just for fun. Before we had kids my wife allways drove convertibles (Mercedes SLK). And opted we go for a convertible, only 2 came up at that time (Audi S5 or Porsche 997). Drove the Porsche, loved the looks and sound, hated the gearbox. wife didnt really like the S5 and I already owned an S5 Coupé so it wasnt really anything new.
So we could not find anything we agreed on and then I stumbled upon te F-Type R.. wasnt really looking for it because its only a 2-seater but love the looks and the sound and therefore we agreed I could have a fun car for a year or two and then see if a 991 Convertible would be in our price range.
Here are my previous cars:
- Peugeot 406 Coupe (Stock, 155BHP)
- Seat Ibiza FR (165 BHP)
- Volkswagen Golf GTI V (Stock, 200 BHP)
- Volkswagen Golf GTI V (245BHP)
- Audi S5 (375 BHP)
- Mercedes C63 AMG (525 BHP)
- Audi RS6 C6 (702 BHP)
- Audi A7 3.0 TFSI (475 BHP)

Welcome to the forum TonCoronel,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the F-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
