I finished my upgrade this past weekend, finally. I added the Jaguar ACM. My 2005 STR.
I have the standard stereo, non-Navigation.
The sound quality is equal to the CD player, but is dependant on the source; USB, RCA, or IPod direct.
Interesting note: you must shut the car off to switch betweem ACM use and CDC.

I've taken both pictures of the manual and the install.
Notes:
- When I bored the hole (#7) I used a half inch drill bit, then used my dremel to route out the remaining diameter needed for the wires plug.
- Hardest part was routing the wires to the front of the console. The manual doesn't talk about that at all. I first tried to wrap all three wires together but found running them one at a time was easier with a wire from a clothes hanger.
- Time was about 3 hours.
