Default Online wheel and tire vendor recommendation?

Gents,
Time for new tires, so while I'm at it I'm looking at new wheels also. I tried the brick and mortal approach, but apparently takes up to two weeks for the wheels to come in. So I was wondering if anyone here had a good experience with ordering wheels and tires as a package online?

Tire Rack? Seems to be the main, go-to site.
How about Element Wheels.com?

Any others?

I'm putting on Coventry Whitley (silver) in 17".

We have several tyre / wheel vendors on site, have you considered asking them for a price?
Might be able to get a good deal AND some forum members discount

Tirerack
Treadepot
CarId

Good luck

Thanks for the replies. It seems Tire Rack does not carry Coventry, at least I could not find it on their website. I called a few places, and was absolutely floored by the Element Wheels representative. Very professional and courteous. Likely going to order through them. They're also well reviewed online.

Very exciting, new shoes for the Jag!

Default New Wheels (and Pics)!

Decided to go with Element Wheels.com. As I mentioned above, their sales rep was tremendously nice and helpful. It's amazing how good that makes me feel as a customer.

I ordered 17" Whitley's in Hypersilver and I'm really happy with how they turned out. The ordering process was really flawless, I ordered the set on July 31 and they arrived August 11. Not too bad considering they were not in stock at the vendor's main warehouse.

Anyway, here are the before and after pictures. I know some may think there's too much tire for 17" wheels, but the roads are so bad here and I prefer comfort with a little style

I've used buywheelstoday.com before and was happy with them. I think they have Coventry wheels too.

Those are indeed a very sharp looking set of wheels: elegant, and quite "understated".

Very "Jag-ish"!!!

Don't be in a hurry to sell the old wheels.

If you purchase and mount some studded snow tires on them, you'll be ready to rock & roll come this winter. When everyone else is slipping off the road, sliding through intersections or stuck on hills, you will be running down the road like a raped ape!

(trust me, I know)

Thanks Bruce! I was just thinking about maybe keeping the old ones for winter. When it snows here in the DC area the best policy is usually to just stay home even if it's like 2"-3" so I didn't feel it was necessary to keep the old ones.

Have only had one offer so far for the old wheels on Craigslist. Some creepy dude who only writes one word in his emails....like "address?", "$150", etc. Odd.
