Default High Mileage Club - Daily Driven

I'm curious to see what other owners who daily drive their XJ's are at in terms of mileage and ownership costs so far. I saw an identical thread in the F-Type forum and figured I'd see where our XJ's sit. I'll start:

2011 XJL Supercharged
Bought: 9/2015 as CPO with 41,000 miles
Current mileage: 67,000 miles

Unexpected repairs: Too many to count .
- High pressure fuel pump
- Valve gasket seals (2)
- Front crankcase seal
- Control arm (2)
- Propshaft
- Coolant tank
- Window regulator (2)

I'm looking to put on about 20,000 miles per year.

2012 XJ, currently has around 64,000 miles on the ODO. Keep in mind that I bought it at 33,000 miles and so far I have put only a pair of rear brake pads on the car and the normal maintenance. I will be due for some new tires. Not bad if you ask me. The only other "repair" was self induced where I modified the intake to make it breathe better (removed the section of tubing between the top of the radiator and the air box). From what I could tell, this on combination of using K&N air filters, the car actually breathed too well and this was causing the computer to see the air flow change too fast when getting off of the gas, leading to a code issue. Once the tubing got replaced, the codes went away.

Yes I liked my 2001 XJR that never let my down and the kids still lament the missing leather smell that XJR had compared to my current XJ. They do last.

Car back with other engine mount replaced. Service advisor didn't seem happy. I asked for mount back if I was going to foot the bill. Had crack wide open, half way around. Definitely leaked all fluid out. Service advisor stepped up to the plate and paid for the repair.

Slight front end knock still there ! Will give Jag back to wife. She still loves the damn thing. She probably blast the music and doesn't hear a thing.

You guys are starting to scare me..... I traded in my 2014 Equus with 91K miles for a 2013 XJ SC 5.0. All I ever did with the Equus is change the oil, filters, tires and put on one set of front brake pads. That's it.

Guess I better get that extended warranty before the year-end.

Default 2004 jaguar xj8 marmar1305

Hi all,
I'm driving a 2004 XJ8 with 193.750 miles on it, perfect running car kept in mint condition.
Amazing fuel consumption on the highway of 35 mpg.
They last for ever.
