I think I paid around $10 for my adapter and it seems to have the same features. I use the torque pro app and it does all that is needed and more. This is the one I got.

Good question - I haven't tried that but the Dash Command App claims:

- Support for OBD-II diagnostics. Find out why your check-engine light is on and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

I doubt that they are the same. If it were me, I would buy the cheap one to see if it and the appropriate app does what I want it/them to do. If it does then you are about $120 ahead of the game. If not, get the Kiwi and your extra $ are about $11. In my book that's well worth a shot.

I had an engine light appear yesterday - I connected the Kiwi with the dash command app - the code was "oxygen sensor" no actual code number for it though - I was able to clear the code with the dash command.

Strange as normally all generic code readers would give you the code number. As there are several O2 sensors you should be able to get the code of which one is giving you the reading. If you get it again see if you can get a different code reader that will give you the code.

JT - why dash command did it that way I dunno - I do have another app for the kiwi that might give the actual number and I do have the SDD running on my win 7 laptop using an XP virtual machine and a clone Mongoose so I can use that.
