How tall is to tall to drive an XK8/XKR

IT depends on the body. I'm 6'8" with long legs, and once I tried a few positions, I found one that is quite comfortable. A coupe will help with head room also. It's probably a bonus that I am thin. One other consideration, the early cars have thinner seats that provide more leg and head room.

Luckily for me the seller of my car was 6'4"...he could not find a comfortable fit...so he sold it two years after buying w/only about 500 miles on it during his ownership, most of those miles were to the dealer fixing a lot of stuff I do not need to :-).
I'm 5'6"...and my 7 year old daughter's Minnie and Micky dolls fit perfectly in the back seats.

I am 6'-3" and comfortable but the seat is as far back as it goes and reclined somewhat. I would not mind another inch just to avoid the "keys in the knees syndrome"
I have seen other cars with small back seats in which the back seat was removed the area tastefully carpeted and upholstered and seat rail extensions installed. I wonder if such a mod could be done on the XK8/XKR as the back seat is useless and the extra space could be used for storage and or speakers.

My mistake, it was Avos and he says it only applies to the early pre-2001 cars.

I'm essentially an NFL tight end-build at 6-foot-7 and 250 pounds with long legs and long arms and size 15 or 16 shoes depending upon the brand. Even with the seat all the way back and lowered as much as possible, my head is over the top of the windshield. With the very narrow footwells, there's no room for my feet, either. I cannot get the steering wheel far enough away from me to comfortably accommodate my long arms and hands. I can drive this car for about 20 minutes with the top up and about an hour with the top down before my knees and back and feet and neck start yelling at me to get out and stretch. Good thing it's my wife's car. No way could I ever daily-drive it....

I am 6'4 (or so) with long legs (36" inseam) and arms (37 sleeve) and weigh about 215. I fit fine in my coupe but have little latitude by the knees. I regularly drive 2+ hours and I am fine. But If anyone has a solution for more legroom I would love to hear it!
As an aside I actually unbolted my 1972 and 1973 TR-6's drivers seat and just moved it back (unbolted!!) in order to fit when I was 17 and 18 years old.
Ah youth...

I am 6' 2" and I have to bend down at lights to see them and my hair rubs against the headliner with the tip down, plus I have to look around the rearview mirror at intersections to see.
My seat is all the way down and all the way back, but it depends on body type too, I have a 34" inseam and while my legs are slightly bent, it is not uncomfortable and helps me brace myself in turns, so my butt does not slide all over the place.

I'm not that tall, but even with the seat all the way back, my head brushes against the headliner ('00 XKR conv). What I'd really like to do is lower the seat an inch even if it meant locking in a seating position because it is bolted to the floor instead of a rail assembly. Any thoughts?

The first time I test-drove an XK8, I said 'no way'. I'm 6'-3" 225#. Then I read stories like the above in this forum and decided to give it another go. With the seat all the way back and slightly reclined, you can do it. No, you won't fit terribly well but that's not why we bought these cars is it
People my height (and taller) are quite used to things not fitting without using a little finesse. Ahem.
