Lister's Jaguar F-Pace is Now the Fastest SUV in the World

While some offerings from Ma Mopar have more power, the Lister Stealth is still faster.

This isn’t the first time we’ve written about offerings from Lister, the British builder known for ridiculously fast Jaguars. Late last year, we drooled over its amazing F-Type  LFT-C 666, and previously, we looked at an F-Pace SVR the company was developing. The goal with the SVR was to break the 200-mph mark, and while that project apparently stalled, we’re not complaining. Because the shop has just dropped another version of the F-Pace, dubbed the Stealth, and the specs are fantastic.

Like the LFT-C 666, it’s packing a Satanic 666 horsepower, which means the sprint from zero-to-60 mph takes just 3.6 seconds. Keep your foot buried in the carpet, and you’ll hit 195 mph before you run out of steam, which makes it the fastest SUV currently on sale. Of course, gearheads know that the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat each pack over 700 horsepower — but Jag makes better use of its available poke.

Both offerings from Ma Mopar top out at 180 mph, while upper-crust competitors like the Bentley Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus can hit “only” 190 mph. And for what it’s worth? I’d like to point out that the Lister drubs the European offerings in the looks department too. It’s not even close.

Sure, it’s a beast performance-wise. But the best feature of the Urus’ interior is that, while you’re inside, you don’t have to look at the exterior. The Bentayga, on the other hand, is really just a fat-Elvis version of the Mulsanne. Though it should be noted Elvis was handsome before he started popping pills and living on peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwiches

One of the particularly impressive things about the F-Pace is how relatively little modification it took to push the performance of the Stealth so far north. Along with a tune, Lister changed the supercharger pulleys, added an intake, installed a custom intercooler, and upgraded the exhaust. As far as modifications to the powertrain goes, that’s about it.

For the record, nothing on the Lister site indicated that the gearbox or all-wheel drive system have been beefed up to handle the extra horsepower. So if you’re looking to get a weapons-grade F-Pace to spice up your daily commute? That might be something to consider. But we think this will be a concern to approximately zero percent of Lister customers.

Along with the performance modifications, the Lister Stealth also sports custom 23-inch Vossen wheels, and a unique front clip which helps feed air to the 5.0-liter V8. As far as the cabin goes, there are a dizzying array of color choices, including 90 stitching options, and 36 different hues of leather.

Only 100 examples will be offered for sale, and while the price comes in at just over $140,000 before options, that seems like a relative bargain. After all, that’s way less than the most expensive version of the Porsche Cayenne, which can’t lay claim to being the fastest SUV in the world.
