Is SVR-Tuned Jaguar F-Type Headed to Geneva?

Whenever I hear the term “SVR”, chills run down my spine as I remember the sweet, sweet moments and miles I spent onboard a Land Rover Sport SVR. But what leaked recently from a rumored future Jaguar brochure is simply bonkers!

SVR is Jaguar and Land Rover’s Special Operations team, and I’ve always envisioned them as the sort of people that create gadgets for James Bond on the side. And according to leaked news, they’ve been busy building an even more hardcore version of the already evil-mastermind-worthy Jaguar F-Type.

The already ungodly fast and apocalyptic-sounding Jaguar F-Type R is propelled by a supercharged V8 engine, which produces 550 horsepower and truly goes like hell. And by “hell,” I mean 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 186 mph.

Apparently that’s not fast or exclusive enough for La Crème de la crème Jag owners, as the SVR-tuned version is rumored to pack an extra 25 horses, reach 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and even hit the 200 mph mark. Oh, and the all-wheel drive stays. Because snow.

Having experienced first-hand the thunderous exhaust note of the Land Rover SVR and the F-Type R, I can’t imagine the men in white lab coats could make it any better, but we may be in for a treat…

Until the Geneva International Motor Show comes around this March, let’s all speculate!
