I have to imagine there have been OS updates to the Nav / computer system on this thing that we could benefit from? I assume it's updated when a new Nav disc specific to that nav unit is inserted?

Has anyone updated theirs who can lend advice? Is it worth the trouble? The nav on this car is pretty jerky and 'old school' by other manufacturer's standards.

What version do you have? The version is indicated by a two letter code that starts with "B" on the face of the DVD.

The reason I ask is that I think that the latest version includes a software update as well as the new content. I believe it is "BH". I doubt that you will find the latest version except from Navteq. Slightly older versions may be available on eBay. If you have say version BD, a used version BF may be worth getting.

However, make certain that what you get is compatible specifically with an 2005 S-Type. No sense in getting a perfectly good copy of something that won't work.
