Activate JaguarVoice for phone

I've just fitted the JaguarVoice option to my 2007 S-Type and everything works except when I try to use it with the Bluetooth phone.
Speaking 'show phone' displays the screen but if I try and use commands like 'phone enter 123' or 'phone dial 123' or even 'help phone', all I get is 'command not recognised'
Is it possible that the used voice module I have installed came from a vehicle which did not have the phone option installed and I need to have the module programmed by my dealer?

I surely hope someone can help you here. Jagvoice isn't for everyone, but maybe one of the techs have installed one or two and can help you out with your problem.
The voice activation system was designed for use with the Motorola V60 phone which was hardwired into system. The one you have I am sure is that type, so not designed for use with the bluetooth.
When you push the button for voice on the steering wheel, does it say listening? When you say phone, help, does it say anything? I am wondering if the shorting loop is still on the harness in the trunk?

Hi,
yes it does show listening and everything works for other systems like the radio & climate control - including 'show phone' which brings up the phone screen on the TFT screen. Trying 'phone help' or any other phone command just results in a double beep and 'command not recognised' coming up on the matrix display.
I did remove the shorting connector from the plug which connects to the voice module but I'm wondering if you're correct and the module just doesn't understand bluetooth. I got the module from a breakers and it was from a 2005 XJ.

No I didn't get the dealer to program it. This is kind of why I posted the question since everything else worked with the voice module, I wondered if they need programming for what else is in the car. I'm thinking that the vehicle which it was removed from didn't have the phone option and therefore it needs programming.
The problem in the UK is that officially the JaguarVoice is not a dealer fit option (unlike the US) so I get stonewalled when I try to raise the issue with my local dealer. Do independent Jaguar service agents possess the equipment necessary to do this or only Jaguar franchised operators?
