Default Audio Connectivity Module: Slow to initialise all of a sudden

My ACM used to start playing from my USB stick immediately after ignition. However recently I deleted some files off it, and all of a sudden when I start the ignition the stereo turns to radio, and if I try and select CDC it comes up with 'CDC ERROR' for about 15 seconds until it will change to CDC.

I've tried the Gateway Indexer, and no improvement. Any ideas?

Does your USB stick have any issues? Flash memory sometimes fails so it may take a while for the module to get past the bad sectors.

I tried a different usb stick - still the same.

I am wondering if it could be a low battery causing this. Its showing as having only 11.8v without the engine running (14 with engine), so I am thinking perhaps this is causing the ACM to be slow initialising.

Will report back when new battery is on.
