IPOD interface for 2008 XKR
Has anyone had an IPOD interface put into their 2008 XKR. The dealer I'm buying mine from doesn't have a clue. I've gotten a part number from a UK forum, C2P-16491, but I'm not sure that's what the part will be here in the US.
Has anyone had experience with this, does it work, was it installed at the dealer or do you have another option. What's the cost?
I'm picking up my new XKR this afternoon and want to have some idea before I get it.
Thanks
Rob

Thank you Mike, appreciate the response. What a bummer. You pay that much for a vehicle and it can't accomodate an IPOD.
Do you know how to pair the blackberry 8700? Neither the car or the BB are recognizing each other.
thank you again.

sorry, I don't use a BB.............. check out the XK forum on roadfly.com ............ seems to me that there was a recent thread about pairing BB.
my dealer couldn't get either of my phones to work...... however my 'technical consultant' (oldset son) ignored the manual and has both of them paired and working fine......
good luck

I have this unit installed in my Portfolio and I enjoy it completely. Good luck finding and installing your new system.
this unit was installed in my 2008 XKR Portfolio by my local dealer. I have had the unit for three months now and my only concern is that Nav system dose not show the title and artist when using the USB or RCA connections but you can control the volume and prev or next song through steering column.

Can you give me the catalog #, product name, manufacturer, and perhaps the dealer name. I can thenhave my dealer call them to find out what they need to in order to install on my car.
thank you very much for your help.
thank you very much for your help.
It does not show list information on my nav system as well but I may need to check the playlist in my IPod and check the manual on the audio connectivity system. I'll see what I can I find.
