Has anyone tried installing a single din type of device in the S-Type ashtray space? I currently have a 2006 with the Sirius option installed in that space, but I am considering other options... Has anyone tried this? Do you know if it's deep enough to house a single din device?

Do you have nav? If not, why not just replace the entire headunit with a double din one like the rest of us have? They make a dash kit for it now.

If you do have nav, then that's a different story. I dont THINK you can get a full din radio in there, but you might be able to graft the face of one onto a ribbon cable and put the actual unit in the glove box etc....

I have the Alpine NAV unit installed. I am looking into the possibilities for the ashtray space, that's why I was asking.

I guess I'll have to open it up and see what will fit...
