Great day in Bowral, nice to see Glyn, Irma and David again (Glyn S) and finally meet up with John (The Mekon) also Bill and Alice (Yorta 2). Thanks for the lovely scenic drive John and the effort you all made in making it a lovely lunch.
Left to Right....Glyn, S type ...John, Series 1...Me , XE...and Bill, X type.
It certainly was a great day; not only the setting and the meal, but mainly through meeting with you all, sharing a few Jaguar stories, seeing the lovely women get on well and enjoy themselves, and just wandering around our cars, soaking up what it really is to drive and own Jags. Well done, Jim, for the organisation and all for being there. I would love to meet a few other members at the next one, so encourage you all to make the effort to come.
There was mention at our recent get-together, of the HARS Aircraft Museum at Albion Park, as a possible venue. It has a small sandwich and coffee shop as part of its attractions, but there are plenty of other restaurants in the area. I would be happy anywhere within 160 kilometres (or so) of where I live in Nowra. Prior to Easter would be preferred for Alice and myself.
Let's hope for some other input first. Someone must have a particular favourite place that they'd love to drive to with a group of Jaguar enthusiasts from either NSW or ACT, and enjoy lunch together....
Any time after the New Year settles down, but prior to April when I do my annual trip to Thailand for Anzac, and family stuff. That may preclude Easter as well. I'd like to hear from Glynn, Irma and David too, so hope they respond. Mate, if you set a date, I will endeavour to be there. Go with the very slow flow.
I could not say this far out. It would have to be a weekend when my step kids are with their dad. This is something that generally does not get agreed on until towards the end of the school holidays.
How about we aim for Saturday 21st March.......we can always change it Jim after Christmas School Holidays
if that suits you better.....and Hars museum sounds great.
I’m sure Glyn,Irma and David will come along if the date is suitable.

Okay with us. Hope we can get a few other (and some new) starters. HARS is a very interesting museum and will be a great place to show-off some cars, and get fantastic photos.
Jim, I am a maybe. I am scheduled back to sea from 5th to 19th March. Always a possibility that the tour of duty is extended. One day I will retire properly and can commit properly.
Thanks for organising this
John
