Timing Belt change XF 2.2D
Hi all,
I bought a 2012 XF 2.2D a few months ago with 34,000 klm. The belt was changed in 2018 at 19,000 klm.
Is the age of the belt more important than the klm it has done?
Can any competent mechanic change the belt or is a Jag specialist needed? The reason I ask is I don't know of any Jag specialist close by, the nearest maybe Canberra or Sydney 300ks or 500ks. I live in West Wyalong.
Cheers

I recall West Wyalong well from my years of passing through from Mildura back to Blue Mts . . . genteel in the long, low V12 Daimler, but far more spirited across those Hay plains on the E-Type . . . but, had to watch out for the solo man-in-blue at Rankin Springs!
My advice is straight to the point . . . If a 2.2L Diesel XF, your car / engine variant is few and far between in Oz so I suggest you post in the model specific and diesel specific forums here rather than in the regional area, In Sunraysia (Mildura and Red Cliffs), we had several Jaguar enthusiasts and willing indies, but my go-to shops were always in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. Now up north, I'm closer to Brisbane and Gold Coast.
Best wishes with your new ride. Jaguars thrive on effortless loping long distances in our big-sky country.
