Bonnet release lever on the wrong side!
Our right hand drive XJ350's have the bonnet release lever on the passenger side unlike the previous model XJ308's. The position of the bonnet catch on the passenger’s side of any car is irritating to say the least. Unless you have a passenger with you, it requires walking around the car to open the passenger side door before raising the bonnet. Worse still, in a narrow space (e.g. single car garage) where both driver and passenger doors cannot be opened simultaneously, the car must be moved, just to pop the bonnet!
A brief examination suggested that relocation of the bonnet release lever would be a fairly major job because of limited access to the cable and other components. Has anyone developed a less invasive solution or work around for this poor design 'feature'?
