Question Brisbane based mechanic

Does anyone have a recommend for getting an XK150S assessed for a potential purchase? I'm looking for a Jag genius.

I'm also after a recommend for ongoing mechanical/restoration work on that car - should I purchase it too.

I did find someone, but they are balancing the work with a full time job so things move slowly.

LOL, thanks Nardoswiss, I'll keep that in mind for when we move over

Thanks Benflux, if they're ever looking for more work, keep me posted. RC Grieve in Ascot has come recommended, so I'll try them out.

Hey Guys,
Don't know if I am breaking any rules , but I use Mike at Independant Jag. I have found him to be very good and reasonably priced.

Thanks! I hope we're not breaking rules?

I stumbled across Monaco Motors. Looking for the good, the bad and the ugly on them

Been using him for 5 years now
I travel from the Gold Coast to Sandgate he was the only one that could get my XJR running right all the guys on the Gold coast just cost me heaps of money and the car went worse each time
He is also a very knowledgeable guy and some of the cars in his shop OMG
He is not the cheapest but the price is soon forgotten when the job is done right first time that's all I can say

Thanks Doc!

Mike quoted on doing my front and rear brakes... $1049.00 :0 My old Merc fella quoted $478.00. I think I'll save Mike for the Jag specific issues.

Like I said he is not cheap (LOL) but spending 2 grand somewhere else first then spending it again with him only difference first guy car went worse

Funny thing while I was in the Jeep dealer for the wife's GC the guy asked me who I get to fix my car as he used to work on them

I was almost tempted to try him out but I have a great rapport with Mike and Niles and he also owns a XJR6 himself so we share ideas as there is a lot to learn from this forum that's why I love this forum not just your genuine parts and standard repairs only LOL

Default Brisbane based E type mechanic

Morning all

Does anyone please have a recommendation for anyone to do a pre purchase assessment and ongoing work on an E Type. Probably V12, but may finish up with a 6.
Thank you 😊👍🏼

Sorry, I do not have any recommendations in Brisbane itself. I purchased my Jag on the Gold Coast and had it inspected by Classic Car Clinic at Biggera Waters. The manager (Mark) is a Jaguar owner. They have performed exceptional service on my MG's in the past. They also do restoration work.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I was sitting outside the address for Monaco Motors on Farrington St, and it's now a furniture store. The store owner said Monsco moved 6 months ago.
Have they relocated or just gone?
Cheers
