Just saw this, possibly will go. Dropping the lad off at work at 10am. Wouldn't make Maleny until 12pm, but still time to have a look and catch a pub lunch in Maleny.

James, call me Sunday morning if I don't call you first. Would be a good chance to catch up. Will Pm my home number.

Geez I never seen them driving around out there. Where are they hiding them I wonder.

Maybe they are weekend warriors only.

Wow 2 XJS in one sitting. Thats cool. Any other Jaguars?

Paul, the red one with the 5.7 LS was a Series 3 XJ6.

oh that clears it up. Geez she's a nice XJ6. They rebadged it with XJ8 on the rear to coincide with the engine i guess. What is that 5.7 litre engine out of? Looks straight out of the show room.

Very nice indeed...

Oh really?

I'm a purist at heart so it loses points on that he he he but she looks real nice. Good on em though. Whatever floats ya boat.

I love the touch of red in the XJS engine, kinda makes me drool....

You could always throw in the AJ V8 but that would cost a bomb

In any case both were stunning cars

Nice cars the yellow XJS is a pretty rare car in Australia

The Chevy conversions are nice as Paul said I am a purist

I do appreciate the technology my mate has an XJS with a rollerised Chevy and top loader gearbox in it it is super fast and the chev engine is lighter than the 12 gives the car good balance at track days
These are the guys that do the conversion kits Jaguar V8 Kit
Jaguar Chevy V8 Conversion Kit from John's Cars
Oh and some v12 performance parts as well Jaguar Home Page
When you see how well the chev fits makes sense to some people

Not a purist, but I like to keep my vehicles as close as possible to stock. But as I discussed with James at the car show, if lumping my XJ6 is what I have to do to keep it on the road so be it.(only if I had no other option)

Unless of course it is a rod, then I like them tastefully done like below.
