Default Fault Code 44 Fuel

Hi my 92 3.2 Jag has conked out and I had to have it towed home. I have a fault code 44 showing. Looking at my manual it says it is the oxygen sensor that is faulty. I am not very bright when it comes to mechanical work. I live at Currimundi and was wondering if someone knows of a mechanic in my area who could fix my car.

Welcome to the forum ubetido,

I'm on the other side of the World so can't help with mechanics in your area. However, code 44 is a regular on the XJ40 and this thread will give you some further information which could avoid you having to use a mechanic to fix it:

By the sounds of it you may not be able to work on the car yourself.
Is the car driveable?

There are a number of members on the coast that may be able to assist you in fixing the issue otherwise recommend a repairer

As GGG recommended first drop by the new members area then do a bit of reading on the issue. After that get back to us with what assistance you need as we would like to see you up and running and possibly on some of our outings

Cheers

Welcome ubetido, I have added you to the Qld roll call thread. Check out the Qld forum, there are some threads there with links to specialists on the northside of Brisbane.
And as 34by151 has mentioned, possibly other members able to assist in your area.
