Default Recommended dealers / Indys Australia South / NT

Hi guys, just a quick thought here on this, something we have running in the UK section.
How about anyone with any experiences about a dealership / Indy making recommendations here?

We can then see at a glance any dealers / Indy's as recommended by forum users for good service, pricing, timely repairs etc etc.
Please feel free to add below by making a post about your experience and then add details of the dealership, names, tel numbers etc and also who is making the recommendation.

Something like this or similar....

List of recommended garages

1. Prestige Jaguar Glasgow ( JimC64)
2. Filton Central garage Bristol ( aardvark64 )
3. Thruxton Jaguar Andover ( Steve M )
4. Jagtech Ltd Stockton ( GGG )
5. H A Fox Doncaster ( Jimbov8 )
6. Jagcare Portsmouth ( Jimbov8 )
7. Les Pauls London ( Ngarara )

It seems a lot of parts, ECU updates etc come from overseas but I might start by recommending IanFisher, Sales Manager - Jaguar Land Rover, Corner York & Margaret St, Launceston, Tasmania, 7250. buckbyjaguar.com.au. Negotiated a great deal and delivered to Adelaide.

Hugh,

O;der info for sure

BUT

I have used JagDaim in Melbourne for too many years.
H & H Prestige Spares, Melbourne, never caused heart attacks etc.
There are others, but I nave NO info at all, so best say nothing.

Service items, aftermarket mainly, and ?Bay seems to fit that bill now I am out of the Parts Industry, and the contacts are gone, sadly.

Yep, Solitaire charge like wounded bulls coz they are the only Jag dealer in the state, the next closest is 700 km away in Melbourne.
For that reason I never have and never will buy anything from them, instead I get all my parts from overseas, mainly Britcar and Rimmer Bros in the UK and Rock Auto in the US, plus the occasional part on Fleabay. Rock Auto are almost always the cheapest for common parts but they don't have a big Jag OEM range while Britcar and especially Rimmer Bros have a wide range. The only things I ever buy locally are fluids - oil, coolant, brake fluid etc - as that is all I can get here in Oz for my F-Type, simply no-one but no-one stocks F-Type parts other than Solitaire and even then they don't really stock them but have to order them from Sydney which takes forever.
For used parts my first port of call is Triumph Rover Spares at Lonsdale, see here: https://triumphroverspares.com.au
They are mainly Land Rover/Range Rover and Jag wreckers and have a wide range of used parts for older Jags up to the XF but very little for newer Jags like my F-Type.
They are also my go to mechanic for any work on the F-Type I can't do myself, they have good mechanics who really know their Jags and their prices are quite reasonable. It's a two+ hours round trip for me but worth it.

Default Servicing

So now my warranty and servicing deal with Solitaire is finished how do you do your servicing. Records are online and I imagine details of the work to be done is also there.
How can I download or get my data or find out what the servicing routines are. Even basic data regarding fluid type and quantity.
Is it better to go to Triumph Rover Spares at Lonsdale for everything.
Cheers
Hugh

Default Servicing

I just noticed this; https://triumphroverspares.com.au/pr...ory/servicing/.
It seems they are no longer doing servicing.
Any other options for trusted service agents?

Hugh

Hugh,
Now that the car is out of warranty you should consider DIYing basic service items such as engine oil and filter changes as they are a doddle and you can save heaps.
I can help if you wish, I have a large garage, most of the tools and a lot of experience working on my Jags although I would need to bone up on the X260 and the 2.0 engine.
If that is no good for you and you live in/near the Northern suburbs you can try Car Service Salisbury - https://www.carservicesalisbury.com.au
I took my F-Type to them for the two year service back in Jan 2017 and before that a post purchase inspection back in 2013 on my old XFS and they did a good job at a reasonable price both times.

Did a good thorough job at a reasonable price.
Does anyone know if there is a workshop that can do Jag System updates apart from Solitaire?
