reloading Aus Nav maps on a 2008 X-Type luxury model

My original reply got messed up and cut in half.
I wanted to know the process by which you "merged" your Toyota and Jaguar map files. I have been reading a great deal on this, and there is not a consensus on what is needed to successfully make such a transfer (too many variables - cars, units, dvd writer types and media differences).
Since Denso is no longer making N. America updates, I would like to merge a 2015 Toyota Lexus generation 4 DVD with my 2011-12 Jaguar N. America DVD.
There is the claim that any successful DVD-ROM write must be made with a DVD writer that is physically capable to write DVD-ROM booktype (not all DVD writers can do that). Do you know if that is true in your case?
Also, the decoding is done using DVD-Decrypter by many because of the UDF file structure. Is this how you did it? Is your DVD media dual layer?
Some units require a Hybrid DVD-ROM, was that true for you?
What software did you use to burn it? Some insist on Nero, others are successful using imgburn.
It seems Jaguar Nav units are more tolerant than others, but your help would be appreciated.
Some of the questions you have in your posts have been answered. The nag screen is most definitely in the loading.kwi. Ian C. Blenke discovered that in 2011. If you go back to the wayback website and plug in this URL you can see his blog about it.

Shadowmite (http://www.shadowmite.com/blog/?p=488) has done some more. And somewhere I found that the lockout while driving is also in there. It apparently measured the number of clicks in something to determine if the MPH was greater than 5.
I suspect that each nav unit type will have the nag screens and lockouts hard coded in the corresponding loading.kwi files (each at a different offset due to the nav unit differences). CRC adjustments have to made inside the file if there are any changes to loading.kwi, or the file will not load.
At this juncture, I am just trying to update my nav maps, since there are so many road changes where I have to drive.
Given that the Jaguar S, XJ, XJ8, XJR, and X-type all have the same nav units, your process should work in my X-type. Any help/light you can shed is appreciated.

Nav on newer models
Just curious to know what type of nav system the later and current Jaguar models use? Is it with a DVD? I have just purchased a modern touch screen stereo for my 1976 Triumph Stag and it came with an SD card for the NAV. I would assume I need to keep buying SD cards to keep up.
cheers
