Cat scratches on paintwork
Hi Everybody,
Just letting off steam!!! My weekly polish routine has revealed the occasional scratch and put it down to not noticing it on previous polishing. However it is getting increasingly worse and is clearly the neighbours cat. There are marks on the wing, bonnet and even the windscreen side support struts ( sorry dont know the technical jargon). Grrrr.. I have panicked and bought a car cover and a high pitched cat scarer.. not tried them yet but they have to work!!!!
Thanks for listening .
Any suggestions on repair?
Cheers Steve

We've got cats on the farm because rat poison and barn owls don't mix.
They love a hot bonnet and while I don't care about them squatting on the old Land Cruiser I was having bad dreams before I bought the Jag home that they'd scramble all over it and sharpen their claws on the rag top.
I bought a fitted cover and they don't like it, don't know why. It is a pain putting it on after every outing but better than the alternative.
There is a product made from lion dung (yes, true) which is, apparently, very effective. It's made in the UK + scored top in a BBC test. I think it is called 'Silent Roar' Good Grief! as Charlie Brown would say.
Otherwise buy a dog and/or poison the cat.

Man, sorry to hear about your Cat troubles Stephen..............I could probably offer a few options none of which would go down very well with some people.
I wonder how your neighbour would like it if you went over to his £10k - £30k car with a brillo pad and maybe gently scoured it up a little here n there?
I'm sure he'd probably think you were selfish / thoughtless and would have something to say?
Thats what I don't get............Where do the owners think their cat craps / urinates? Maybe not in their garden...
Where do they think it caterwails at 2am - 4am? They don't care.
Grrrrrrr........don't get me started......lol
