Default Ceramic coating for XJ

Hi Guys,

Sorry if this has been posted before but can someone please tell a newbie like me, what are the best options for having a ceramic coat applied to my car? I'm in southern California (more sun than rain) if that matters any.

I'm not looking to spend a ton of money to get it done but I don't want to do it myself either. I really like that wet paint/glossy look.

Any recommendations?

But before you make a buying decision, it’s important to get the facts straight. If you have read anything online about Ceramic Coatings, you may have come across some competing claims. On the one hand, manufacturers and detailers have made outstanding promises about the performance of their Ceramic Coatings..

The key is to detail the car more professionally, meaning using clay after washing it well. I used Avalon King which will sell you ceramic coating directly and 2 bottles will be about $138 and enough to do 2-3 coats. I have used it on a few cars and am very happy. This avoids the proprietary products that are sold turnkey via expensive detail people. I just paid my trusted body shop a couple hundred to wash, clay, then buff the car and apply 3 coats of Avalon King afterwards. It takes about a day or so to cure after being applied. https://avalonking.com/shop/ceramic-...ld-ix-diy-kit/
