Talking finally got her detailed - pic thread

Took some pics of her parked in the neighbor's driveway today. Enjoy

2003 XK8 Convertible
Midnight Black Metallic (very, very glad I got this. The metallic helps hide fine dust, and there's really a lot of color in it)
Dove grey interior
19" Apollo wheels
custom Walnut Burl gearknob with Pearl inlay and green growler logo

Thanks for all the advice from the friendly folks here!

a before pic? the only one I have doesn't do justice to the filthy condition it arrived in, however there's a story to go with it: I just bought this about a month ago and paid for enclosed shipping to bring her from Florida to Ohio. I got a phone call one saturday afternoon, in the middle of a bad rainstorm with hail, from a guy at the trucking company who wanted to drive my car ~35 miles to deliver it to me. I reminded him that I paid for, and expected, delivery via truck. The pic below is how it arrived Not exactly the grand delivery which I had envisioned of my car being carefully extracted from the enclosed trailer of a semi.

Anyway I contacted the transport company (which had used a subcontractor), and they agreed to pay for the detailing since their contractor had made it such a mess. I asked the detailer to do some further cleaning at my expense, and she also buffed the entire car, which removed alot of small scratches & swirl marks.

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I was really surprised to see how much of a difference it made on the interior; the interior, other than a few dirt stains from where the driver had messed it up by not cleaning his hands before entering it, didn't look that bad at all. The stitching in the leather was a little dirty & yellow, which I simply attributed to normal wear and age, and didn't really expect to improve. However the detailer somehow managed to get it cleaned up like new, all traces of dirt & yellow staining are gone, and the stitching looks just like new which made a much more dramatic difference in appearance than I would have expected.
