Question Instrument Glass Cleaning

So I'm detailing mt recently acquired 05 XJR and I arrive at the instrument panel. It looks like it was removed in a past life and the inside surface of the glass was wiped with a wet dirty rag.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but what is involved in getting to the back side of this glass, short of blasting caps?

Any help or observations appreciated.

I don't know anything about that year, but try unscrewing the face plate off them after you take them out of the dash.

According to my JTIS you must first remove the wood instrument panel, which requires removal of the Ctr. Consol. Then you have to remove the Instrumrnt Pod and then the glass face, which is screwed on.

Looks to me like a job to leave alone untill I have a more pressing need than clean Instrument glass. You sure got to wonder how it got dirty back there in the first place.

I can recommend that once you do remove it clean it with either Plexus or Brillianize....both are made exclusively for these types of plastics......anti static and non abrasive.
