Wheel Cleaning and protecting
Well I decided to clean the wheels yesterday and had to try this new product by eagleone I saw on an infomercial in the middle of the night, keep clean wheels. Picked it up with A2Z all wheel cleaner for 7 bucks all together at autozone, they should still be running the sale. Went pretty well, started with A2Z on dry wheels, let sit 30 seconds then scrub, works much better than simple green although you definately have to back away from the wheel because the fumes are pretty strong. After I washed the whole car I moved it into the garage to polish wheels I tried optimum compound and some chrome polish but turtle wax fine polishing compound (small green tub available everywhere) plus a little elbow grease really brought the chrome back to life and got rid of caked on brake dust. Finished with keep clean wheels, just a very light coating over the wheels seems to be the concensus on getting this stuff to work. Went back a couple hours and there was some light white chalky buildup over the wheels but a light buff with a microfiber removed it. Will see how well this stuff works, on the commercial they poured honey on the wheels and it didnt stick. Will post back in two weeks to show how they held up.
