Default Choke Knob 69 S2 coupe

I'd like to tighten up the choke knob on my S2, built Aug. 69. It appears there is some sort of rivet holding it in, but looking for guidance on taking the knob off and then getting it back on without disassembling the entire dash. That may not be possible. Attachments show assembly and then the rivet.

Hi,
Did you get this resolved? My '67 uses a small slotted screw. Would it be possible to sub the rivet with a screw to get a tighter fit" Or, just live with it and accept it's just another "quirky" part of owning these jags?

No, but your suggestion is a really good one. I think I just forget sometimes, to think outside the box. I get focused on using OE parts and procedures and neglect to consider additional options. The old boy is stuffed in his cocoon for winter storage, but I will definitely look at this alternative in a few weeks. Thank you so much!
