Default Correct radio for series II

My correct, preserved '69 roadster has an aftermarket radio. What is the stock make and where does one find one? Last bit to make it perfect.

I wanna say "Phillips" for a factory installed unit but I couldn't find anyway to prove it....though I didn't search for very long.

It was common to have 'dealer installed' radios as well.....which could be just about anything. Might be something sold through Jaguar for dealer installation or might be something the dealer obtained locally.

I'm no authority on E-Types. Let's wait for others to chime in. If nobody does, you might try the JCNA web site. They have lots of authenticity guides

Cheers

It is with great reluctance that I suggest you look at a different website, but since no one here seems to have the answer, these threads have some radio information . Perhaps David, the administrator there, can help with specifics for your series 2 .....

I have seen Phillips by Ford, and Motorola. I beleive the factory did not install radios, I think dealer install only, but factory did offer antenna mounting so holes were there. Seems most would only listen to the exhaust and top down noise.

Thanks Gentleman. I assume then any date coded radio such as a Blaupunkt Frankfurt or a similar unit could have been installed, so long as it fits into the console. Phillips radios are rare, but refurbished Blaupunkts are readily available. Again Thanks.

Thanks Man, that B. Frankfort looks awesome esp. with the chrome bezel. It's what I had on my early 911. But the prev. owner sent a new Pioneer to put in, so may have to settle since there are like 50 other things that require attention on this '69.....despite being sold as a "needs nothing car". That's a laugh. Now bidding on a proper jack, mallet, and manual with pouch...all cost a fortune!
