I have an e type series 1 roadster that i am beginning to restore. I have had the bonnet stripped and i am not happy with the condition. Looks like a new bonnet then. Does anyone know if an aluminium bonnet would de value the car?.

Of course it will but it all depends on whether you want it original or not. There are places in the UK where you can get steel bonnets from.

Thanks for that, i know where to get the steel ones, just thought aluminium is lighter and wont rust.

 

I might be interested in the steel bonnet if you go with aluminium.
