Default Front brake pad choice

oem pads have serious squeal which after all checks has been determined to be the quality of the pads. Does anyone have a recommendation of type and source of premium quality pads for a 1969 e type roadster. Also should the rotors also be changed even though this is a low mileage re build car, less than 5000 miles. Can you get rotor/ pad sets and where from. Any I found were no stock.

Welcome to the Forums.

When the E is sorted, please do an Intro in the New members Area.

The E Type section will have answers for your market.

I have used many pad brands over too many years, and got onto TRW brand about 10 odd years ago.

Best for me and my jags.

Rotors?????, if the measure up to spec, and NO grooves, leave alone..

BUT

As part of my after purchase MAJOR service, they ALL get new pads and rotors, then I know what is what, and move on to enjoying the Jag.

Suppliers in your area, NO idea, but ?bay is usually a good starting point.

OR

The suppliers that support this site are also top shelf companies, and dont worry about NO stock, that would be "normal" anywhere for an E, as parts are NOT fast moving anymore, and fair is fair in my opinion with that.

Welcome to the forum Cholland1948,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to E-Type forum. Members here with the same model will be able to help.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see.
