Default Rear Roll Bar Mount

I noticed the lower mount bolt (see image) was loose on my car and when I tried to tighten it, it just kept spinning and was hanging loose. I guess the nut would be welded to the inside of the tub and now I'm wondering how to get at it. Will I need to cut open an access hole in the tub behind the seats to get in there?

Hi Marco,
It may depend on which series/model you have. I'm not sure, but I think on my 68 FHC you would have to cut a hole on the tub to gain access to the trapped nut. I'll take a look later and report back. Where did you find that image of the rear trans carrier?
Bill.

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the reply.
I have a '64 OTS. I just googled "XKE Roll Bar Mount" for an image to point out the location of the mount.
