Removal and reinstall?
I'm getting my 69 2+2 ready for sale and I am replacing the 14 acorn nuts on the heads. I can look up the torque specs and sequence but my real question for any one that may have done this before is, should I remove one at a time and re torque or can I take them all off and then re torque in sequence? Thanks for any help. Bud

There's no mention of torque specs in the original shop manual for these nuts. Many have been over torqued by someone trying to stop oil from seeping out the holes, even with new copper washers (speaking from experience). Most important is to have the surface around the stud hole to be smooth as can be, then tighten the minimum # of turns past initial contact....no more effort than you'd apply to a hand tightened wingnut, I'd suppose. Because you're not torqueing them too tightly, I doubt order of installation is important, though I'd start in the middle and work out to the ends.
Are we talking about cam cover nuts or cylinder head nuts?
If cylinder head nuts I would NOT remove them all at once. Replace them one at a time.
I guess the same method would work on cam cover nuts as well but no matter how those are replaced it is nowhere where near as problematic if a leak develops.
