I have a 68 XKE with a cheapo kmart radio from the 1980's. I want to install a period radio-I have seen them on ebay for $600-$800. Was the radio installed at the dealer on XKE's? How about the antennae? Was the radio delete on all years also? I might install the blanking plate but the antenna & speaker grilles will look out of place. I also noticed there is nothing supporting the weight of the radio when i removed the center section. Is there supposed to be some sort of bracket at the back of the radio?
