Trunk lite
I have a 1967 E type, convertible, 4.2 . It’s got a 3.8 dash , with AC. I’m trying to get the trunk lite to work.
The lite socket has no power. My question is , does lite work off one of the toggle switches on the dash ? Where does the lite get it’s power from ? Is there a switch somewhere? The manual shows nothing. Not even a trunk lite.

I believe on a 3.8 dash, the left most toggle is the interior light switch and should supply +12 to the light socket. One lamp serves as both the boot (trunk) and interior light. Your car has obviously been rewired so who knows. Try tracing the wire behind the dash noting the color at the socket and perhaps you can see which switch is being used.
