Default What Type ATF and Power Steering Fluid?

1970 Type 2. None of the 10 year old records from the previous owner show what fluids were used. My manual states Type A automatic transmission fluid in the tranny and power steering. Is there a compatible modern substitute? My local O’Rilleys Auto parts store is clueless even after looking in their books and computer.

This may help. And I think you have a 70 Series 2.

Is there a local British car club or Jaguar club near you? One of those owners will surely help!
