Default Another Question; lug nuts.

So I have these lug nuts with stainless steel caps. Don't get me wrong; they are shiny and look nice and all, but they tend to rattle every time I drive over rough/bumpy surfaces. Thought I'd just grab a new set at the dealers', only to go over there and be told they cost $38 a piece. I need 20, so do the math and tell me whether it makes sense. Tried all the tire/rim shops to get some second hand ones, but with no luck. So now I'm thinking of maybe doing some modification, anything to stop the rattling. Just did my rear shocks single handedly, and its riding like a dream. The fronts are due in a couple of months, I have to do the bumper rivets too, let's just say its an anti-rattle project.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

G.

If you are looking to replace the wheel nuts with solid chrome (no "tin" jacket), try LA Wheel & Tire. I bought a 20piece set for $138. Look exactly like the factory unit including the washer, but solid instead of with the stainless cover.

Sounds very reasonable; the perfect solution!! Will do.

Checked out the company's (L.A wheel;tire) website, they have a nice assortment of wheels! One of these fine days I'll save up enough and buy a set of chromed out wheels for a late model XK8 and fit on my X300...
