Default Cabin Air Filter

Hello All
I want to change the cabin air filter on my 2024 F Pace. All the videos I’ve found show the pre facelift models, which involves quite a bit of disassembly of the dash and center console. I’m hoping Jaguar made this job a bit easier with the later models, such as just removing the glove box like a lot of other cars.
Has anyone done this job on a later model and can offer some advice?

TIA
Jack

Haven't done a 2024, but the dealers don't take apart the dash and center console to change the cabin filter. They lift up the front cowling under the hood and sneak it in that way. I've done this method on the earlier models and it's not easy but it's still better than taking the dash apart. There are YouTube videos showing how it's done.

There is this Englishman that replaced his F-Pace' cabin filter in less than 3 minutes in YT. Make sure the arrow printed on the filter is pointing up.

Thank you, I have seen the cowl method on YouTube. I’ll give it a try.
I was just hoping Jaguar saw the error in there ways

the arrow shows the direction of airflow. When slipping it under the cowl, the arrow should point down as that is the flow of the air into the cabin.
not up as you said. that would be upside down and will pass some debris at the filter edges. If that is what the video shows then he is also wrong.

I think it has something to do with the right hand drive left-hand drive – set up

I'm a little confused. as there is an arrow and the word "UP" beside it and your telling me that it doesn't mean "UP" but flow direction???

Yes, unfortunately, it can be slightly more complicated. See the PIX in this post. The arrow is the airflow direction, but the Arrow with the up next to it is pointing toward where the air goes in and then flows down through the filter (so yes, it's pointing in the opposite direction of airflow, indicating where the air goes into the filter). In the Jaguar this end up arrow is correct yet the airflow arrow would be correct facing down. This arrow up filter is also used in multiple other vehicles like Toyota and is an instruction not an airflow. In some vehicles, the filter is installed on the edge so there is no up, on others the filter is installed vertically so there is no up, and on some it actually would be this end up facing down depending on manufacturers application.
In short, the arrow is air flow, but the up is air inlet and will depend on the manufacturer of the filter as to which one they use.

Airflow, same direction
Airflow, same direction

Ok, since I have the OEM filter with the UP label, I did see that aftermarket filters indicate air flow. Makes sense, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
