The 10's: So Close And Yet So Far Away
I'll get there... I know the car's got it in her, but just not today. Until then I'll happily take Philly's title for the fastest f-type on motor, and by a whole 0.01 seconds. These last 3 runs of the day, I had 4 wheel spin off the line, killing my 60'.

So close!
It is interesting comparing your runs with my fastest. You are travelling faster by 5 or 6 miles an hour at the 1/8 mile mark and get there 0.4 seconds quicker but we have similar speeds at the 1/4 mile so mine must get a bit of a spurt on in the second quarter.
I presume that is down to your AWD but I wonder if my terminal speed would improve with drag radials or AWD or just get there quicker?

I've always been on the low side of the MPH conversation compared to what everyone else is at for the same ET. For example, when I was running 11.6 stock, that was just at 121 mph. Could just be my sub-par drag strip, I always use the same one, or it could be the car. Who knows... that being said 126.25 = 640 bhp, which is about right considering my mods. Drag radials would definitely help your 60' time, because that's certainly something that could be improved.

Very nice! Congrats! Those are excellent times and the best I've seen for an F-Type R without nitrous. Setting the bar very high! I now have a challenge ahead of me to try and best that! Might have to wait until better temps outside. It's hot and humid here.

Tell me about it; we've been in the high 80s/low 90s with 50%+ humidity for weeks. I was just lucky one of the two 75 degree days just happened to fall on a test and tune day; maybe I'll try again in the fall.

After testing with dragy on a hot day, I’m sure my car has a 10 second pass in it after my recent Dragy time of 11.19 at 126.33. I was only cutting 1.8 sec 60ft times and I’ve done 1.65 np. With cool weather I also have more top end. Fingers Crossed! Let’s see who gets proper weather first and that might be it!

Tune, lower pulley, colder plugs and tires. I must be on my 18th tune revision as well...

0.2' is a pretty substantial amount of time to make up, but I wish you the best of luck! I'd like to see what you run at a real strip though; i'm not sure I trust the accuracy of those Dragys. Plus, you know... the road isn't flat.
Yea will be going to the drag strip in September! I’ve got a couple of tricks up my sleeve 😅

18 might be an exaggeration, but it's a lot. Some based on my requests, but mainly just continuous improvement. I've been working with VAP for years now, and they typically send me new files when they've learned something new tuning someone else's car. I have over 20 files, though I haven't used them all.

I’m also on a VAP lower pulley and tune that I installed about a year ago. I wonder if there is an improved tune from the one I have now. It drives great, and I have no complaints though.

I installed the colder plugs at the same time I did the lower pulley, so I can't say I experienced the car without them. I wouldn't expect any seat of the pants difference, but Chris may very well have separate tunes based on whether you were running colder plugs or not. In my opinion it's a requirement of the tune/pulley combo because you're now running outside the stock plugs effective operating range from a horsepower standpoint.

Also, some of these plug companies get crazy with numbering for heat ranges and they are sometimes backwards. Would you mind sharing what plug (incl. the heat range) and gap you are using with the VAP tune? Will keep it for when needed.
Thanks a bunch!
