Normally this indicates something is not complete closed/latched and cannot properly lock and arm. Is anything ajar? Trunk/boot. doors, hood/bonnet?

EDIT - Sorry, I see you said when you START the car. Any codes or dash lights too?

Maybe it's given up chiming when you don't click your seatbelt and has started shouting?

Mine does the 2 beeps when I accidently close or lock door handles? But, usually not related to starting engine? Any clues in owners manual?

it may be linked to my earlier thread "water in trunk"
but yesterday i heard broken glass rattling around in the tailgate from a previous owners broken tailgate glass.

i may have to disable that horn until i get time to get this in under warranty

That's normal. It's the "no-no" horn basically, lol.

aux horn now disconnected and now im not embarrassed to start the car.
i think the cause is either broken glass chunks inside tailgate or the water pouring through the lock mechanism which has caused this issue,
i'll pass this info on when it goes in for warranty work
thanks all

Pretty sure the alarm should use the standard vehicle horn.

Waking up this thread because I think I may have an idea whats going on. I noticed my aux horn was starting to periodically beep twice when I would open the automatic rear hatch. It wouldn't beep when I had the key fob in my hand and opened it via remote, but only when I had the fob in my pocket and used the button under the hatch. Got me to thinking that the FOB battery had not been replaced for three years. I replaced the FOB battery and the issue is gone. Perhaps a weak FOB battery (weaker in the morning when it's cold from low ambient temps) is causing your JAG think that your FOB is outside the vehicle when you are starting it? Anyway.....maybe a long shot but check it out :-)
