Hello,

I have a 2015 XF 3.0 and very recently, when i go to start the car, the horn beeps twice when i hit the push start. Everything else is working as it should be, keyless entry, locking the doors with the button on the handle, but I cannot fathom why the alarm would beep when starting. Vehicles I have had in the past, when the FOB battery gets low it just won't unlock with keyless all the time, or it won't start because it can't sense the key. Any ideas?

 

Pull the codes and see what it tells you

I would guess you have a door lock actuator that's jamming and generating an error. They are prone to fail - particularly the driver door due to use. Sometimes hood or boot sensor doesn't register but you should just get a warning saying hood or boot/trunk open. The codes should tel you if a door actuator is failing
