His point was when he called they told him early fall (of 2015), and then a few hours later on the same day, pricing was released.

In other words, the JLRNA "customer service center" seems to be completely clueless, and not much more than an answering service.

Just got an email from my dealer about my 2016... I ordered a Suedecloth interior. Looks to me like they are charging me Performance Seats, AND the Suedecloth... the on line "build your F-Type" makes it appear as though the performance seats are included with the Suedecloth package... I've emailed them back, but curious to what anyone else might know...

Oh, my build date is this week! Damn, I can't wait...

Hi Matt!

We finally got the F-Type pricing late last Friday. I have included the estimated cost on your vehicle as well as the estimated build dates and delivery dates (shown below). Also, the great news is that the 2016’s will officially come with 5 year/60,000 mile warranty, all scheduled maintenance, and roadside assistance as well as 5 year InControl Connected Car – the telematics system service that we discussed.

The estimated price on yours is $112,825 as broken down below:

· F-Type R Coupe MSRP – $104,525 (Included Destination and Delivery)
· Suedecloth Seats - $2,500
· Performance Seats - $1,500
· Black Pack – $600
· Vision Pack - $2,100
· Premium Metallic Paint - $600
· 20” Black Gyrodyne Wheels - $1,000

I suspect they are using nothing more than a third party call center that is provided with a script of answers paired with likely questions. When CS cannot find the answer in their book, and I ask them for a contact that might have an answer, they can't even answer that. Oh, well!

So now you can negotiate? Or, are they charging you full MSRP?

I just checked the pricing I received from my dealer. It looks as though your dealer isn't accurate regarding the seats. He's quoting you an erroneously additional $1500 for the performance seats

The suedecloth Interior Pack (option code - TP22 ) is the only way to order that interior. There is no option for performance seats on the R (they are standard)

Option TP22 is $1000 / msrp -- $855 / invoice.

I agreed to pay MSRP, when I ordered, however, that was to also include other dealer perks, that we will still negotiate. Tire and Wheel protection, extended warranty, and tinted windows are all on the table.

Joz132, Thank you. My dealer did get back with me and confirmed that the Performance seats were standard with the R (or with the Suedecloth) so that shaved the erroneous $1500 off my MSRP. now I need to look into that TP22 for $1000 you mentioned as opposed to whatever the $2500 "suedecloth seats" charge is listed as. For the record, I ordered (and have on my build sheet) suedecloth interior, not just "seats".
