I know a few of us are eager to hear any shred of news on the subject, so I thought I would share the following, which I just heard from my dealer:

" I found out a couple things. The interior is getting a very minor update but a cool one. The touchscreen is being upgraded for 2019 to a 10” screen vs a 8” screen. It also sounds like there may be a couple changes in the wheel styles."

Sounds good to me JLR, don't change anything else!

 

Unfortunately salespeople for jaguar know about 10% of the details on what is coming, and 50% of what they will tell you is just wrong.

Larger screens are NOT something that gets my interest...too much real estate devoted to the screen is just a distraction IMO. As it is, I feel like the current one is too big...

 

The 5040 wheels are the wheels that are packaged with carbon brakes in non-svr trim. I'm guessing they will make it an option at all trim levels now without having to purchase the brakes?

The larger Navi screen likely also means that any and all hard buttons will be gone (e.g. the "pro" version of the NAVI that is already in use in the F-Pace and other Jags). That's not such a "great" thing as the touch screen itself is a PITA (slow to respond and often takes the drivers eyes off the road) so I personally like the physical buttons. JLR really, really, REALLY should have enable voice commands in the '19 models so that we could get away from the whole touch screen crapola

 

I had XE loaner with larger screen, and it still had physical buttons. The only button that was missing on XE was to turn the screen off. I really like an ability to turn screen off, and my F-type startup procedure includes turning off start-stop, turning off screen.

Also, on new XE, backup camera was GREATLY improved. Hopefully this makes into F-type.
