Default 2020 SVR Coupe CTEK Battery Tender Install Q

Hello, I hope everyone's having a nice weekend.
There are a few different threads on how to install the CTEK pigtail connectors and they've been helpful, but the junction box on my car has fewer options than were previously highlighted, so I'm posting to confirm I am installing this correctly:

I have the negative eyelet secured to what looks to be a primary ground to the vehicle body, and the positive eyelet connected to the main red wire as it goes into the box.
Will this setup work or is there a more preferred way? I have seen other installations where the positive eyelet is on to the left of the fuse and mounted to the bar opposite the yellow wire. Is there a benefit to this?

Thank you!

No worries. Your connections are correct: negative to body ground, positive to the box. Mine has been connected this way for years with no issues, no electrical problems, and an always fully charged battery.

Your charger is connected to the battery through a 250A fuse, which is perfectly fine.

Another option is just using the alligator clips on the jump posts under the hood.

And yet another option is to do what I did - hard wire the pig tail connector to the under-hood charging posts and tuck it up under the edge of the hood when not in use. That way I can (and do, a lot!) connect up my battery tender without having to open anything or even unlock the car, I simply flip out the connector using one finger and plug in the tender, easy peasy takes 10 seconds.

This is a fantastic idea - do you have a write-up or link to one by chance?

Yep, see here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...0/#post1710314
Since that post I worked out how to tuck the lead up under the edge of the hood - at the top of the wheel arch in between the metal of the hood and the plastic liner which sits just below it, the gap is just right to squeeze the plug end of the lead into but once tucked in it is tight enough to not fall out when driving.
