Hello, we have a Dec 2013 V8 S 40,000 miles

There is a whine at low revs when pulling away from a rest and a sense of inertia

Could anyone be kind to advise?

There seems to have been a slight historic leak that as evaporated and left some dried sediment below the cover where the arrow points in the photo (library photo)

 

My 2014 V6S (72,000 miles) has some weepage in that spot and a few others. The dealer assured me it’s normal.

 

Thank you, the issue with the whining definitely isnt right though. I was wondering if the supercharger was faulty

 

Hard to even guess without hearing it, and/or a better photo of teh actual spot where the sound/leaking is?

Its a supercharger whine but at a higher pitch, you will not hear it under the bonnet statiobary because the SC disengages when in neutral
